This is the privacy policy for the JobsInKashmir website
(jobsinkashmir.in) and the Jobs In Kashmir Android and iOS apps
(package in.jobsinkashmir.netshell), published and operated by
Netshell Software Solutions, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India.
It explains what these services collect, how that information is handled, how long
it is kept and how to have it removed.
JobsInKashmir is a read-only job board — there are no accounts, no sign-ups and no forms that ask for your personal information. Browsing the site does not require you to give us anything.
Like almost every website, our server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, pages visited, browser type) to keep the site running and detect abuse. These logs are not used to identify or profile visitors.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
When you apply to a job, you contact the employer directly using the phone number, email or link on the listing. Anything you share with an employer goes to them, not to us — check who you are talking to before sending documents, and never pay anyone to apply or interview.
The JobsInKashmir Android app shows the same listings as this site. It has no accounts and no sign-up, asks for no personal information, and contains no advertising or analytics software. We do not know who you are, and we build no profile of you.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, the app uses Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging to receive alerts about new listings. It subscribes to a single public channel that every install shares — there is nothing that identifies your device, and no registration token is ever sent to or stored on our servers. We cannot send a message to you individually, only to everyone who has the app. Turn notifications off any time in Android's app settings and they stop; nothing else about the app changes.
What leaves your phone. To show jobs, the app requests listings from our servers over an encrypted connection, which produces the same standard technical logs described above. Firebase receives the information it needs to deliver a notification to your device, under Google's privacy terms. Nothing else is transmitted.
Permissions. Internet and network state, to load jobs; notifications, to alert you about new listings. The app asks for nothing else — no contacts, no location, no storage, no camera.
Applying still happens directly with the employer, exactly as described above: the app opens their phone number, email or link, and whatever you send goes to them, not to us.
Because there are no accounts, there is no profile to hold. The only record any visit leaves is the server log described above.
Requesting deletion. If you believe any information about you is held here, email info@jobsinkashmir.in and we will remove it and confirm within 30 days. Deleting the app from your device stops all data leaving it immediately.
Anything you send an employer — a CV, an email, a WhatsApp message — is held by that employer under their own policy. We never receive it and cannot delete it on your behalf; ask them directly.
Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Server logs sit on access-controlled infrastructure reachable only by named administrators. We do not sell, rent or trade information, and we share none of it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third party involved is Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which receives what it needs to deliver a notification to your device under Google's privacy terms.
This service is meant for people seeking employment and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the revised policy appears at this same address.
