How to apply

UPSC Advertisement No. 11/2026, dated 10.09.2026. DATES Applications open 12.09.2026 and close 02.10.2026 at 18:00 hrs for all posts EXCEPT the Ladakh post, which closes 09.10.2026. HOW TO APPLY Online only, at upsconline.nic.in. Account creation, Universal Registration and Common details can be filled any time; the fourth module is post-specific and can only be filled during that vacancy's window. On submission a post-specific Application Number is generated - keep it. FEE Rs 25, by card, UPI or internet banking, paid by the closing date and time. NO FEE for women of any community, SC, ST and PwBD. There is NO exemption for OBC, EWS or unreserved male candidates. Since all four Ladakh vacancies are ST, an eligible Ladakh candidate pays nothing. An application without the fee is summarily rejected, and the advertisement states no representation against that rejection will be entertained. FOR THE LADAKH POST SPECIFICALLY You need a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Tehsildar in the Administration of UT of Ladakh. Start that now rather than in the last week - it is issued under rules notified only in June 2025. You also need your two years of practice at the bar certified by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, the Registrar General of the High Court, or the Supreme Court. That certificate comes from a court, not an affidavit, so allow time. Reservation claims need valid certificates from competent authorities in the formats appended as Annexures I to X. If you qualify under more than one reserved category you must pick one, and that choice is final. QUALIFICATION RELAXATION Qualifications are relaxable at UPSC's discretion, for reasons recorded in writing, for candidates otherwise well qualified. For the Ladakh and Delhi prosecutor posts the experience requirement is separately relaxable for SC and ST candidates where enough experienced candidates are unlikely to be available.
