The Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India - the agency that runs the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana and its network of Jan Aushadhi Kendras - is recruiting 178 posts under Vacancy Circular Advt. No. 02/2026. Applications close 24 SEPTEMBER 2026 at 5:00 PM. READ THE APPLICATION METHOD BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE, BECAUSE IT IS UNUSUAL AND IT IS UNFORGIVING. General Manager - 03. THERE IS NOTHING HERE FOR A FRESHER. Every single post carries a minimum experience bar. The lowest is one year. THE MOST ACCESSIBLE POSTS Marketing Officer - 30 posts. B.Pharma, or B.Sc in Biotechnology, Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Maximum age 28. ONE YEAR of sales or marketing experience in the pharma sector. Rs 32,500 a month, plus Rs 5,000 conveyance and Rs 500 telephone allowance. Pharmacist - 06 posts. B.Pharma, M.Pharma desirable. Maximum age 28. One year in the pharma sector. Rs 32,500 a month plus the same allowances. Senior Marketing Officer - 15 posts. Same qualifications as Marketing Officer, maximum age 30, THREE years' experience. Rs 38,000 a month plus Rs 6,000 conveyance. FURTHER UP THE SCALE Assistant Manager, maximum age 33, five years' experience, Rs 53,000 a month. Deputy Manager, maximum age 35, seven years, Rs 67,000. Manager, maximum age 40, ten years, Rs 90,000. Deputy General Manager, maximum age 50, fifteen years, Rs 1,13,000. General Manager, maximum age 55, eighteen years, Rs 1,58,000. BEYOND PAY, every post carries provident fund as per norms, a group mediclaim policy - Rs 10 lakh at General Manager level, Rs 5 lakh below it - group term life insurance of Rs 10 lakh and group accidental insurance. An MBA in sales or marketing is listed as desirable across the sales and marketing posts, but it is not mandatory anywhere. We checked the arithmetic: the circular lists 44 separate designation line items and they add to exactly 178.

What you'll do

• Work on contract with the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India, the implementing agency for the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana
• Serve in the department you are recruited into - sales and marketing, procurement, quality, logistics and supply chain, finance and accounts, IT and MIS, HR and administration, legal, media, the grievance division, the international assistance division or the coordination cell
• For the sales and marketing posts, promote and grow the Jan Aushadhi generic medicine network and its Kendras
• Serve an initial contract period of three years

What we're looking for

• THE 178 POSTS AND WHAT EACH NEEDS
• EVERY POST REQUIRES EXPERIENCE. The minimum anywhere in this circular is one year. There is no fresher entry.
• ENTRY LEVEL - MAXIMUM AGE 28, ONE YEAR'S EXPERIENCE
• Marketing Officer - 30 posts. B.Pharma, or B.Sc in Biotechnology, Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. One year in sales or marketing in the pharma sector. Rs 32,500 per month, plus Rs 5,000 conveyance and Rs 500 telephone allowance. MBA in Sales or Marketing desirable.
• Pharmacist - 06 posts. B.Pharma, with M.Pharma desirable. One year in the pharma sector. Rs 32,500 per month plus the same allowances.
• Executive - 10 posts. Maximum age 28, one year's experience. Rs 32,500 per month.
• THREE YEARS' EXPERIENCE - MAXIMUM AGE 30
• Senior Marketing Officer - 15 posts. B.Pharma or B.Sc (Biotech / Medicinal Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry). Rs 38,000 per month, plus Rs 6,000 conveyance and Rs 1,000 telephone allowance.
• Senior Executive - 61 posts, the largest block, spread across sales and marketing, procurement, quality, logistics and supply chain, finance and accounts, legal, media and the grievance division. The sales and marketing stream asks for a GRADUATE with three years in pharma sales or marketing; the legal stream asks for three years in legal work. Rs 38,000 per month.
• FIVE YEARS AND ABOVE
• Assistant Manager - 31 posts. Maximum age 33, five years' experience in the relevant function - sales and marketing, procurement, quality, logistics, finance and accounts, IT and MIS, HR and administration, legal, grievance, international assistance or coordination. Rs 53,000 per month.
• Deputy Manager - 04 posts. Maximum age 35, seven years. Rs 67,000 per month.
• Manager - 06 posts. Maximum age 40, ten years. Rs 90,000 per month.
• Deputy General Manager - 06 posts. Maximum age 50, fifteen years in pharma sales or marketing. B.Pharma or B.Sc (Medicinal or Pharmaceutical Chemistry). Rs 1,13,000 per month.
• General Manager - 03 posts. Maximum age 55, eighteen years in pharma sales or marketing. Rs 1,58,000 per month, plus Rs 15,000 conveyance and Rs 2,000 telephone allowance.

• Provident fund as per norms; group mediclaim of Rs 10 lakh at General Manager level and Rs 5 lakh below; group term life insurance of Rs 10 lakh; group accidental insurance.
