The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority is recruiting 30 Officer Grade 'A' (Assistant Manager) posts under Advertisement No. 03/2026, dated 3 September 2026. Applications close 24 SEPTEMBER 2026. THE PAY IS THE HEADLINE, AND IT IS NOT A TYPO. PFRDA states that gross emoluments at the MINIMUM of the scale are approximately Rs 2,05,000 PER MONTH, including its NPS contribution and the various allowances. The pay scale itself starts at Rs 62,500 and runs to Rs 1,26,100 over 17 years. This is a financial-sector regulator, on par with RBI and SEBI Grade A. JAMMU IS A PHASE-I EXAMINATION CENTRE. Srinagar is not - the North Zone centres are Chandigarh/Mohali, Delhi/NCR, Lucknow, JAMMU, Dehradun, Meerut and Haldwani. Candidates from the Valley would travel to Jammu. AND APPLY EARLY FOR A REASON. Centres have capacity ceilings and PFRDA reserves the right to move you to another centre, inside or outside your state, if a centre fills or too few people choose it. No change of centre is entertained afterwards. YOU DO NOT NEED A MASTER'S DEGREE FOR THE GENERAL STREAM. This is where most job listings are wrong. The General stream - 25 of the 30 posts - accepts a Master's degree OR a two-year post-graduate diploma in ANY discipline, OR a BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN LAW, OR a BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING, or CA from ICAI, CS from ICSI, CMA from ICMAI, or CFA. A B.Tech or an LLB alone qualifies you. THE FOUR STREAMS General - 25 posts. Master's or PG Diploma in any discipline, or LLB, or B.E./B.Tech, or ACA/FCA, ACS/FCS, ACMA/FCMA, or CFA. Research - 2 posts. Master's or PG Diploma in economics, finance, statistics, data science, AI, machine learning, business analytics and related fields, or an M.Sc Mathematics with a one-year PG diploma in Statistics. Actuary - 2 posts. Graduation plus a pass or exemption in all SEVEN Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India. Official Language (Rajbhasha) - 1 post. Master's in Hindi or Hindi Translation with English at bachelor's level, or Master's in Sanskrit, English, Economics or Commerce with Hindi at bachelor's level. You may apply for a MAXIMUM OF TWO STREAMS, with a separate application and a separate fee for each. Apply for more than two, or twice in one stream, and only the last application stands - the rest are rejected and the fee forfeited. AGE: maximum 30 as on 31 July 2026, with the usual relaxations. CATEGORY SPLIT across the 30: UR/GEN 12, OBC 8, SC 5, EWS 3, ST 2, plus 2 reserved for PwBD candidates. FEE Rs 1,000 for General, EWS and OBC. NIL for SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen. Note that women are not exempt here. SELECTION IS THREE STAGES. Phase-I online screening on 15 OCTOBER 2026. Phase-II online examination on 20 NOVEMBER 2026. What you'll do

• Serve as Officer Grade 'A' (Assistant Manager) at the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, the statutory regulator of India's pension sector under the PFRDA Act 2013
• Work in the stream you are recruited into - General, Research, Actuary or Official Language - while remaining liable to posting in any department of PFRDA
• Complete a two-year probation, with confirmation subject to satisfactory performance and verification of character and antecedents

What we're looking for

• THE 30 POSTS AND WHAT EACH STREAM NEEDS, as on 31.07.2026
• GENERAL - 25 posts (UR 9, OBC 7, SC 4, EWS 3, ST 2, plus 2 PwBD)
• A Master's degree OR a post-graduate diploma of at least two years' duration in ANY discipline;
• OR a Bachelor's Degree in LAW;
• OR a Bachelor's Degree in ENGINEERING;
• OR ACA/FCA from ICAI, ACS/FCS from ICSI, ACMA/FCMA from ICMAI, or CFA from the CFA Institute.
• A B.Tech or an LLB on its own is enough. Many listings describe this stream as postgraduate-only, which is wrong.
• RESEARCH - 2 posts (UR 1, SC 1)
• A Master's degree or two-year PG diploma in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, Quantitative or Financial or Mathematical or Business or Agricultural or Industrial Economics, or Business Analytics;
• or in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, or Agri-Business Finance;
• or in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Statistics & Informatics, Applied Statistics & Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Big Data Analytics;
• or a Master's in Mathematics with a one-year post-graduate diploma in Statistics or a related subject.
• ACTUARY - 2 posts (UR 2)
• Graduation from a recognised university, AND a pass or exemption in all SEVEN Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India examination.
• OFFICIAL LANGUAGE (RAJBHASHA) - 1 post (OBC 1)
• Master's in Hindi or Hindi Translation with English as a subject at bachelor's level; or Master's in Sanskrit, English, Economics or Commerce with Hindi as a subject at bachelor's level; or a Master's in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation.
• TWO STREAMS MAXIMUM
• You may apply for at most two streams for which you are eligible. Each needs a separate online application and a separate fee. If you apply more than once in one stream, or for more than two streams, only the last application is valid and the others are summarily rejected with no refund.
• AGE
• Maximum 30 years as on 31 July 2026. Upper age relaxations apply as per Government norms for reserved categories, PwBD and ex-servicemen.
• PAY AND BENEFITS
• Scale: Rs 62,500 - 3,600(4) - 76,900 - 4,050(7) - 1,05,250 - EB - 4,050(4) - 1,21,450 - 4,650(1) - 1,26,100, over 17 years.
• Gross emoluments at the MINIMUM of the scale are approximately Rs 2,05,000 per month, including PFRDA's NPS contribution, grade, special, dearness, local, family, learning and housing allowances.
