State Bank of India has opened its regular clerical cadre recruitment for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) under Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17. Jammu & Kashmir UT has 84 regular vacancies of its own, plus a separate backlog block of 3, administered through the Chandigarh circle with Urdu or Hindi as the specified local language. Clerical recruitment in SBI is state-wise, so a J&K applicant competes for the J&K seats rather than the national pool. Online registration runs from 11 August to 31 August 2026. Note this is a different advertisement from the SBI Special Recruitment Drive for backlog ST vacancies (CRPD/CR/SPLDRIVE/2026-27/16) which closes on 27 August - a candidate may be eligible for both, and each has its own application portal.
What you'll do

- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 1 each under VI, HI, LD and d&e
- Ex-servicemen 8, Disabled Ex-servicemen 3
- Separate backlog block for J&K: SC 1, ST 1, OBC 1, with XS 2 and DXS 3
- Circle: Chandigarh. Local language for J&K: Urdu or Hindi
- Post is in the Clerical Cadre - branch customer service, sales support and day-to-day banking operations
What we're looking for
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. Final-year students may apply provisionally
- Age 20 to 28 years as on 01.04.2026 - born between 02.04.1998 and 01.04.2006, both dates inclusive
- Age relaxation: OBC 3 years, SC and ST 5 years, PwBD (Gen/EWS) 10 years, PwBD (OBC) 13 years, PwBD (SC/ST) 15 years, ex-servicemen as per rules
- Proficiency in the local language of the State or UT applied for. For Jammu & Kashmir this is Urdu or Hindi, and it is verified before appointment
- Application fee Rs 750 for General, OBC and EWS. No fee for SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and dependants of servicemen killed in action
- Pay scale Rs 24,050 - 1340/3 - 28,070 - 1650/3 - 33,020 - 2000/4 - 41,020 - 2340/7 - 57,400 - 4400/1 - 61,800 - 2680/1 - 64,480. Starting basic pay is Rs 26,730 including two advance increments admissible to graduates
- Total starting emoluments are around Rs 46,000 per month at metro rates, inclusive of allowances, varying by posting
