IBPS has opened CRP RRB-XV, the common recruitment for regional rural banks, and Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank has notified 244 POSTS in it - 200 of them clerical and open to any graduate. We counted those 244 ourselves out of IBPS's own vacancy annexure rather than taking anyone's word for it: Office Assistant (Multipurpose) 200, Officer Scale I 32, Officer Scale II (IT) 6, Officer Scale II (Law) 3 and Officer Scale III 3. THE 200 OFFICE ASSISTANT POSTS ARE THE STORY HERE. A bachelor's degree in any discipline is the whole educational requirement. No experience. No percentage bar. And there is NO INTERVIEW for these - allotment is on the main examination alone. The category split on those 200: UR 98, OBC(NCL) 61, ST 23, EWS 18. Nine are reserved horizontally for PwBD candidates. Note that no SC vacancies are notified for Office Assistant at this bank this cycle. Two things make this materially easier for candidates here than most national recruitments. SRINAGAR IS AN EXAM CENTRE, along with Jammu and Samba - for the preliminary AND the main paper. Neither stage takes you out of the UT. And the language rule is the widest we have seen in a national notification. For J&K Grameen Bank, IBPS accepts DOGRI, KASHMIRI, PUNJABI, URDU, GOJRI, PAHARI, LADAKHI, BALTI (PALLI), DARDI OR HINDI. Ten languages. Most states in this same notification list one. Almost nobody from the region is shut out on language grounds. Age for Office Assistant is 18 to 28 as on 1 September 2026; for Officer Scale I, above 18 and below 30. The fee is Rs 850, or Rs 175 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates - and for Office Assistant, ex-servicemen too. Unlike several bank recruitments this month, women are NOT fee-exempt here. Registration runs 1 to 21 September 2026, with an edit window for two days after it closes. Pre-Examination Training is offered in November. What you'll do

• Work as an Office Assistant (Multipurpose) or an Officer in Scale I, II or III with a Regional Rural Bank in the state you apply for
• For Jammu & Kashmir, that bank is Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank, headquartered at Jammu
• Serve rural and semi-urban branches, dealing with customers in the local language of the area
• Sit the preliminary and main examinations at your chosen centre, and an interview for officer posts
• Attend Pre-Examination Training in November 2026 if eligible and if you opt for it
• Accept provisional allotment against the vacancies actually reported by the RRB of the state applied for

• Officer Scale II (Information Technology) 6 - OBC(NCL) 3, UR 2, EWS 1.
• Officer Scale II (Law) 3 - OBC(NCL) 1, EWS 1, UR 1.
• Officer Scale III 3 - OBC(NCL) 1, EWS 1, UR 1.
• Every row's category split adds exactly to its own total, and the five add to 244. The bank has notified NO vacancies in Officer Scale II General Banking, CA, Treasury, Marketing or Agriculture this cycle.
• QUALIFICATION
• Office Assistant (Multipurpose): a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University or its equivalent, plus proficiency in the local language prescribed by the participating RRB. A working knowledge of computers is desirable, not required. NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
• Officer Scale I: a bachelor's degree in any discipline, with preference for specified streams, plus local language proficiency.
• Officer Scale II and III carry their own degree and post-qualification experience requirements - read the notification before applying to those.
• THE LANGUAGE RULE IS UNUSUALLY WIDE HERE
• For Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank the notification accepts DOGRI, KASHMIRI, PUNJABI, URDU, GOJRI, PAHARI, LADAKHI, BALTI (PALLI), DARDI or HINDI. Ten languages. Most circles in this notification list one or two; this is among the widest in the country, and it means very few candidates from the region are excluded on language.

• Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 18 to 28. Born not earlier than 02.09.1998 and not later than 01.09.2008.
• Officer Scale I: above 18 and below 30. Born not earlier than 02.09.1996 and not later than 01.09.2008.
• Scale II and III have their own bands, set out in the notification.
• EXAM CENTRES IN J&K
• Jammu, Samba and SRINAGAR - for both the preliminary and the main examination. You do not leave the UT to sit either paper.
• SELECTION
• A preliminary examination, then a main examination, and for the officer posts an interview. Office Assistant posts are allotted on the main examination alone, with no interview. Candidates must reach a minimum score in each test of the main examination, and provisional allotment then depends on the actual vacancies reported by the RRB of the state applied for.
• Pre-Examination Training is offered in November 2026 for eligible candidates.
• You apply against ONE state only, and are ranked against that state's pool.
