Two blocks account for most of it, and both are worth a second look from here. Eighty-eight posts are for civil and electrical engineers in Facility Management, opening at two years of experience on Junior Management Grade from Rs 48,480. Fifty-four are for Manager-Security, and that one is written for ex-servicemen - an officer with five years of commissioned service in the Army, Navy or Air Force qualifies with a degree in any discipline, as does a police officer of DSP rank or above, or a paramilitary officer of Assistant Commandant rank or above, each with five years as a Class-I gazetted officer. Given how many retired officers J&K sends into the forces and the police, that second block is probably the most reachable thing in this advertisement for our readers. • MMG/S-II, age 25 to 35, requiring a graduate degree in any discipline plus one of the following:
• five years of commissioned service as an officer in the Army, Navy or Air Force; or
• service as a police officer not below Deputy Superintendent of Police with five years as a Class-I gazetted officer; or
• rank equivalent to or above Assistant Commandant in a paramilitary force with five years as a Class-I gazetted officer.
• Short Service Commissioned Officers must have completed five years of continuous military service and been released other than by dismissal or discharge for misconduct or inefficiency.
• A computer certification of at least three months, or IT as a subject at graduation, is preferred.
• SCALES OF PAY
• JMG/S-I from Rs 48,480 to Rs 85,920. MMG/S-II from Rs 64,820 to Rs 93,960. MMG/S-III from Rs 85,920 to Rs 1,05,280. SMG/S-IV from Rs 1,02,300 to Rs 1,20,940.
• THE ONLINE EXAMINATION, IF HELD
• One hundred and fifty questions carrying 225 marks over 150 minutes. Reasoning 25, English Language 25 and Quantitative Aptitude 25 are qualifying only - marks in those three do not count towards the final result. Professional Knowledge carries 75 questions for 150 marks and is what actually decides selection.
• There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer across all sections. Unanswered questions carry no penalty. Everything except the English test is available in Hindi as well.
• The Bank may add a descriptive test or case study, and may follow the examination with a psychometric assessment or personal interview.
• POSTING
• Anywhere in India, entirely at the Bank's discretion. This is stated twice in the advertisement, once as a condition of applying.
• EXAMINATION CENTRES
• There is no J&K quota in this advertisement and no domicile condition - reservation is category-wise on the all-India roster, and posting is to anywhere in India at the Bank's discretion.
• What J&K candidates do get is a local test centre: Jammu is one of the roughly 25 online examination centres named, alongside Chandigarh-Mohali, Jalandhar, Delhi/NCR and others. There is no Srinagar centre, so candidates from the valley should plan on travelling to Jammu.
• The Bank may add, remove or modify centres, and states plainly that no request for a change of centre will be entertained. The centre finally allotted appears on the call letter.
