The J&K Services Selection Board has advertised 72 divisional cadre posts under the PM Package for Kashmiri Migrants and Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits, through Advertisement Notification No. 07 of 2026 dated 08 July 2026. The indent comes from the Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction Department, and the posts are placed with seven different departments. Every one of the 72 is in the Kashmir division - there is no Jammu division block in this advertisement. Sub-Inspector is the largest single post at 39. What we're looking for
- Eligibility is restricted. Only candidates who are Migrants as defined in SRO 412 of 2009, or Kashmiri Pandits as defined in SRO 425 of 2017, may apply for these posts
- Migrant status under SRO 412 of 2009 is certified by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, J&K. Status under SRO 425 of 2017 is certified by the Deputy Commissioner of the district concerned
- Sub-Inspector - graduation from any recognised university
- Junior Librarian - a Bachelor's degree in Library Science from a recognised university
- Library Assistant - a graduate degree from any recognised university with a degree or diploma in Library Science
- Junior Statistical Assistant - a Bachelor's degree with Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Computer Applications or Information Technology as an elective subject
- Draftsman (Civil) - a two-year Draftsman Training Course certificate or diploma from any government-recognised institute
- Depot Assistant - Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised university or board
- Motor Vehicle Traffic Assistant - 10th pass with a two-year ITI in Motor Mechanic Vehicle from a recognised institute
- Maximum age as on 01.01.2026 - 40 years for Open Merit, with the usual relaxations for reserved categories
- Fee Rs 600, or Rs 500 for SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS and PwBD candidates, payable online only
- Selection for every post is on merit in the written / OMR examination alone. Questions are set in English only and carry negative marking
